CO Comments on ASOS Animal Ban
This week, ASOS announced updates to its animal welfare policy that mean, by January 2019, it will stop producing and stocking products made from silk, mohair, feathers, and cashmere. This is in addition to previous bans on fur, angora, and other rabbit hair and products which use materials from vulnerable animals.
Katherine Nash at Channel 5 News spoke to CO's Head of Communications, Qiulae Wong, about why ASOS had made this move and how consumers might react - see the clip below.

Billions of animals provide source material for fashion, including leather, silk and fur. Industry practices can also adversely affect biodiversity, leading to a loss of animal habitats and species.
