Fashion Open Studio and Common Objective partner to amplify sustainable designers during Fashion Revolution Week

Vivienne Westwood, Veja, Phoebe English, Ecoalf, and Raeburn are amongst the leading brands and designers that are opening up their showrooms, and curating a behind-the-scenes experience as part of Fashion Revolution’s Fashion Open Studio.

Common Objective (CO) and Fashion Open Studios (FOS) have joined forces during Fashion Revolution Week 2019 to shine a light on the leaders and the innovators in the fashion industry who are changing things for the better.

An initiative of the hugely successful consumer campaign Fashion Revolution, FOS is a worldwide showcase of interactive open studio events - engaging industry and consumers alike to take a look behind the scenes of some of the world’s most innovative brands.

During Fashion Revolution Week 2019, which starts on Earth Day (22nd April), brands and designers participating in FOS open up their studios for workshops, talks, and presentations that provide an insight into how their products are made, with the aim of bringing greater transparency to the industry and demonstrating how fashion can be done better.

In order to galvanise engagement and ensure this transparent approach continues beyond Fashion Revolution Week itself, FOS has partnered with CO to showcase participating designers to CO’s digital network of thousands of fashion professionals around the world who are committed to a more sustainable future for the industry.

“Every year engagement with Fashion Revolution Week continues to grow, but it’s fantastic now to be able to use the CO platform to continue the conversation throughout the year and have a digital space for designers and makers to share ideas.” says Tamsin Blanchard, Curator of Fashion Open Studio.
